FAQ - Cooking Class Positano

What to expect in a cooking class?

While each cooking class is a unique experience, you can expect an engaging chef to lead you through the cooking session. The class typically begins with the introduction, where you will hear about the chef's background, local ingredients, and the menu you'll be making. After the instructor demonstrates the techniques, you'll get your hands dirty on your station and follow the cooking process step-by-step. The chef will be there for you for any questions you might have or to get you back on track if you mess something up. After the hands-on experience is done and your meal is cooked, you'll be seated with your classmates to share a meal, drinks, and stories.

What do you wear to a cooking class?

There is no strict dress code for joining a cooking class. However, keep in mind that you could be working around the heat, and you might get messy working with food, even with the apron provided. Wear comfortable clothes you wouldn't mind getting dirty, and avoid draped sleeves that could end up in food. Opt for closed-toe shoes with slip-resistant soles to ensure safety during your cooking experience. Remember to keep your hair neat and away from your face if you have longer hair.

Do you tip for cooking classes in Italy?

While tipping is not mandatory in Italy, it's still welcome. Gratuities are generally connected to the quality of the service. So, if you've enjoyed the cooking class with your chef, don't hesitate to show your appreciation with a tip you find appropriate for the service you've received.

How should I spend my time in Positano?

Aside from relaxing at the beach, wandering around the town, discovering its heritage with a Walking tour Positano Italy, and indulging in the delicious culinary delights of the area, there are many activities that can enhance your overall experience in Positano, Amalfi Coast. Discover other towns on the coast with Amalfi Coast boat tours from Positano, and experience a deeper appreciation of this stunning area. If a boat trip is not really your thing, you can explore it with a Vespa tour Amalfi Coast. Alternatively, if you prefer spending more time on a boat, consider joining the Positano to Capri boat tours, where you can admire the natural wonders surrounding the lovely island of Capri and its iconic Faraglioni Rocks. For a journey into the past, we've discovered an incredible Positano to Pompeii tour, where you can learn about ancient civilization and their devastating end from a professional guide.
